Do not conveniently compute,
Nor lend themselves to strict

Statistical analysis.
If I have loved three times, 
And then once more,

And lost all four, 
Then how shall I deduce
The probability of grief?
Is it a great deal more 

Than three of your discarded dreams?
And should we each succumb
Along divergent paths,
Which of us

On a Richter scale
Will register more dead?
